This is a fantastic idea! To give the general public an idea of what happens backstage, get to know the actors/characters etc. Loving the dry comments. :)

Excellent idea!! What would be even MORE excellent... make video and/or DVD of the entire play. Sell them and proceeds would benefit Old Vic!! Thanks for the inside view!!

I've never noticed the "piece o'crap" chandelier before. Still, I loved the performance last Thursday night.
Looking forward to seeing more cast videos - this is a fabulous idea! If someone could take us inside the shack now the lights are in, that could be cool... depending on what's inside, that is (e.g. is the rumour true that that's where all Lex Luthor's wigs are now hidden?) ;-)

since Long Days Journey was filmed - why not film "Moon" as a go with video..and then you can fix that roof and get a "real" chandelier!

Wow, what a treat. These videos are a great look behind the scenes. Everyone seems to be working hard and having fun - especially Kevin. You can tell he's very relaxed and at home.
I'd like to see a video on what the actors do backstage to get ready for a performance and maybe something on the set or the costumes. How many hats did Kevin look at before picking the one he wears in the play?

What a great idea! Kevin's so natural behind and, of course, in front of the camera. I can't wait to board the plane next week to go see the play! Loved his comments and cracked up over the chandelier revelation. Here's hoping enough money is raised in the coming months to install a real one!

could we please please please see the roof in one of the next installements - preferably on a rainy day so that we can see the rain pouring in??
i have always been curious about it, in fact, to be honnest, i have a hard time imagining that this building even *has* a roof, so this might be my one time chance...
also, could you show us the rigging you have? is it new or does it need to be redone?
do you have a swinging floor on stage? would the stage be suitable for dance performances?
what does a dressing room look like, if thats not too indecent to ask?
the more i think about it, the more questions i have... :) really, thank you guys for doing this!!

Loved the video! Very interesting. I have never been to the Old Vic so it was a treat to see what goes on when preparing for a play. The piece of crap chandelier doean't look all that bad. Fooled me! Would love to see the play on Broadway!

These videos are really great. They are another Spacey swell idea of showing one the Old Vic from a different angle. They also reveal the nice one-team-spirit behind the success of a theatrical work.
I have a pretty silly question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. Though the whole point of watching a play is to see it live (I mean, that's the whole point which gives plays their basic characteristic), is there any hope in the future that these great masterpieces done on the Old Vic now like Richard II be filmed and sold on videotapes or DVDs for people like me who can't travel to London but are extremely eager to watch and enjoy them as well?

I can't wait to see all of these in live. I'am going to see the play in November. Now I am reading all the Eugene O'Neill's plays - all of them are fantastic - what a portrayals! I will travel especially for Spacey, from Hungary, Budapest. Till then I hope to see many introductions of the crew's stage-life.

I absolutely love these videos, please keep more coming. I have to agree with Linda and ask that the plays be taped and sold on DVD for those who can't come to London to see them live (I really would if I could). I know what you're going to say - taping would be too expensive - but I'm not asking for a professionally done DVD, just get someone with really steady hands to tape it one night!!!
